Free Mammogram screening & Tree Plantation Project

On 13.8.18, we organized a free Mammogram(Breast Cancer Screening) project and Tree plantation project at Lanthakkottai our clubs adopted Happy village.
Chief guest was Rtn.karthik from Perambalur.
Totally 58 Beneficiaries were done Mammogram test.
100 trees were planted.

Multiple Projects at our clubs Happy Village

on 10-08-18, our club conducted multiple projects at our adopted happy village. We held a new interact club orientation, Blood grouping for school children, and Avoid plastic project in happy village.
Venue- At our clubs adopted village in Lanthakkottai.
It was a 3 in 1 event where we created awareness on how to manage plastics both for the school children and the village people and conducted blood grouping in a school before the charter of an Interact club under our adopted Happy Village Landhakottai.
Rtn.neelavathi gave an awareness on how to save our nature and eradicate pollution on plastics and create Global Warming. we have to seed our good thoughts on managing plastics within the younger generation which will in turn take us to reach the community and country in a quicker way.
We felt the whole day was well spent and with purpose. Hope it’s the righteous time to create an awareness all over our area and save our nature.

Friendship Day Celebration

On 6-8-18, our club members met ar Rtn Anuradha’s home to celebrate the International friendship day around 7 pm.
It was a wonderful day filled with fun and laughter… good gathering… gala time with friends.. and yummy food and ice ream,  exchange of  gifts etc.

Weekly Meeting on August 2nd

our clubs weekly meeting was held at Rtn Neelavathi’s house on August 2.
weekly  meeting  went on very well with the active participation of the President and Secretary,  Rtn.Neela, Rtn. Lakshmi,
Rtn.Shanmugavalli, Rtn. Geetha, Rtn.Yasmin, Rtn.Nirupama, Rtn. Anu, and Rtn.Saratha for their participation and they shared many ideas for the growth and projects of the club.

WINS & Menstrual Hygiene awareness program

On 01-8-18 at the Saratha Girls  Hr. Sec. School in Pasupathipalayam, our club conducted the WINS & MENSTRUAL  HYGIENE  AWARENESS PROGRAM at 10 am.
Program Chairman was Rtn.PP.Neelavathi.
Angels president Rtn Dhamayanthi, Chairman  PP.Rtn.Neela, PP Rtn.shanmugavalli and Rtn.Saradha had participated in this program.
We have given awareness for 6 ,7,8th and 9th standard girl students. 450 students have participated and benefited.

Train the Trainers

Every year our club conducts the Train The Trainers program where professional trainers train our club members to become trainers to train the school students & college students for life skill training programs and RYLA’s at Rotaract and Interact clubs we have sponsored.

On 26th and 27th of July, 2018 the training program was conducted at Dharsan Ayurvedic center at Mayanoor.

The training time was from 10 am to 5pm on both days.
Trainers: Mr.Gowtham & Lion Brindha Ashok.
Ten members from our club attended the program and become trainers. They are

1.Attitude and Qualities of a good trainer.
2.Communication skills for better leadership .
3.learned about training methods and how to deliver our content .

Free Silambam training course for girl students

On 26-7-18, our club organised a free Silambam training course for girl students from 9.30 am to 10.30.am at the National primary school at  Thalavaapaalayam.
Chief guest was Mrs.Kavitha, District child development officer
Project Chair person was Rtn.yasmin
Totally 12 Girl students were trained and ongoing training to them would be conducted freely. The idea is to teach girl students self defense to improve their capacity to save themselves from any sort of physical abuse or danger.

Mammogram Screening for women at Lanthakottai village

On 22-7-18 we conducted a mammogram screening program at Lanthakkottai village near Karur.
60 women had benefited from the breast cancer screening.

This village was adopted by our club under happy village for the year 2018-19. Our club members Rtn.meena, Rtn.Neela, Rtn.Vinitha and Rtn.Yasmin  wqere present throughout the program.

Weekly Meeting on July 21st

Our club weekly meeting was held on 21/7/2018 from 12 – 1 pm at Balar kalaikoodam.

We  had our weekly  meeting  after finishing  the life skill program at balar kalaikoodam. Past presidents and members had attended the meeting and  gave their  valuable suggestions  to promote  our club services and club activities.
