Rotary club of karur angels
A polio vaccinating booth was organized by our club on 19.1.14 the national immunization day at mini bus stand Karur.
More than 200 children were given polio drops in our booth.
The rotaractors from Annai College joined hands with us in this project.
Rtn. Radha was the chair person of this project.
Our club conducted an eye camp to the public at Manmangalam village in Manmangalam Ooratchi Thuvaka Palli on Nov 10th, 2013.
No. of beneficiaries – 150 people
No. of free eye surgery conducted – 7 people
No. of spectacles distributed – 25 people
Our club conducted a blood grouping camp at Velliyanai Govt., Girls High School on 24.10.2013 morning.
The students were tested for their blood group and ID cards were issued with their blood group mentioned on it.
Total beneficiaries of this program were 375 students.
The chair person of this program was Rtn.V.Malarkodi.
Our club conducted a motivation and training workshop program – “Unnatham Unarveer” to the private school bus drivers on 12.10.2013.
Faculty of this program was Mr.Hussein from Helix-Salem.
72 drivers from eight various schools were participate in this program.
The chair person was Rtn.M.Vinitha.
World Heart Day Rally

For World Heart Day, our club World Heart Day Rally conducted a rally “Idhayam Kaappom, Idhamai Valwom” on 29.913 evening 3.30 pm together with other 5 Rotary clubs at Karur and also with IMA Hospital. More than 500 college students and public were participated in this rally. We made a awareness about protect against heart disease among the people.

Free Mammogram Test

Our first project of the year was the Free Mammogram Test for poor women who couldnt afford such tests. We brought the Rotary Mobile Mammogram truck from Trichy and conducted tests on poor Women. As its also a screening test for Breast Cancer, the poor women mostly daily wage workers from textile units in karur were benefitted.
We started the project immediately after our Installation function. The Transport Minister for state, Mr.Senthil Balaji was the Chief Guest and Inaugurated the Project. PDG Kalpana Ghound was also present. The project ran for four days during which almost 200 women were screened with Mammogram tests.
Being an all Womens club, we believe, our year started on a high note with a project dedicated for the less fortunate women in Karur.
Our club’s New President installation function was celebrated at Aarthi Hotel Alagammai Hall on 30.06.2013 evening.
Rtn.N.Shanmugavalli became the new President of our club.
Rotary District 3240 PDG Rtn.Kalpana Khound and Painthamizh Selvi Mrs.Bharathi Babu were the Chief Guest of this function.
On installation day we also did projects on the Five Avenues of services.

Young Achievers Awards to Talented Disabled Students

Adopted Gandhigramam “Thanthonimalai Union Middle School” for the construction and renovation of toilets and all the requirements of that school.
Vocational Service:- We presented the Vocational Service Award to Rtn. Dr.Manonmani and also to Mr.Sethulingam who is serving humanity in his rehabilitation centre for special kids.
International Service:- Our club contributed 100 dollars to Rotary Foundation
Club Service:- Our club released the bulletin “THE VISION” to project the image of rotary. Six new members were inducted to our club on installation day.
